Jerry O. Potter

Jerry O. Potter is a Memphis, Tennessee attorney with more than four decades of experience in civil litigation and dispute resolution. At Harris Shelton PLLC, his work has included representing clients in Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants and Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants matters, as well as assisting parties in resolving complex disputes through mediation. After more than 40 years as a trial lawyer, Jerry focuses significant time on mediation. As a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator, he has mediated more than 3,000 civil cases since 1997, working with attorneys and parties to help them evaluate issues, explore options, and reach resolutions that fit the circumstances of their disputes.

Jerry has received a number of professional recognitions during his career. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America list, including recognition as “Lawyer of the Year for Memphis.” He has also been included in the Super Lawyers list and recognized among the Top 100 Tennessee attorneys in the Mid-South since 2006.
