Jérôme Goy

A recognized professional in insurance law, to which he is exclusively dedicated, his practice focuses on:

• Contractual advice in insurance law and risk management;
• Defense of insured companies in the context of claims;
• Advising insurance distribution businesses.

With a dual background as an insurance lawyer and broker, Jérôme Goy is one of the rare professionals in insurance law to work exclusively in the interest of insured companies, and not on behalf of insurance companies.

He acts both as an advisor and in litigation (before courts or in arbitration proceedings).

He has obtained numerous court rulings in favor of insurance coverage for companies (Promod, Districash, Jennyfer, Groupe Le Duff, Kookai) against leading insurers (XL Insurance Company, ABEILLE IARD & SANTE, MS Amlin Insurance SE, AXERIA IARD, Allianz, Zürich Insurance PLC).

He provides project ownership assistance for many insurance tenders for both public and private companies.

He advises insurance distributors on setting up insurance product distribution channels, and on reviewing coverage terms or insurance brokers M&A.

He also serves as an expert before commercial courts, for example in insolvency proceedings.

He regularly publishes articles in insurance law journals (Tribune de l’Assurance, legal section of L’Argus de l’Assurance, etc.), particularly on topics such as:

• Insurance coverage for business claims (fires, natural disasters, COVID-19, business interruption, riots);
• Drafting of insurance contracts (cyber insurance, AIG clause);
• Insurance market mechanisms (MGAs, captives, tenders, third-party litigation funding).

He also trains numerous executives from insurance companies through AMRAE (Association for Risk and Insurance Management of the Enterprise).

He served as Delegate for Regulated Professions to the Paris Bar President (2016) and is an active member of EDC (Christian Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders).

Jérôme holds a degree from Sciences Po Paris (Economics & Finance) and a Master’s in Business Law (Paris X).
