Jerald L. “Jerry” Rauterkus is a senior member of the litigation department at Erickson Sederstrom in Omaha, Nebraska. His practice is focused on litigation defense matters involving complex multi-party disputes, transportation litigation, product liability litigation, employment litigation,nonprofit representation, insurance defense, and Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants.
Jerry earned his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in 1985, where he served as a member of the Creighton Law Review. Before attending law school, he worked in secondary education and earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.
Throughout his legal career, Jerry has represented businesses, insurers, nonprofits, and other clients in a wide range of litigation matters. He also serves as Erickson Sederstrom’s representative to The Harmonie Group, a network of independent law firms focused on the defense of businesses, self-insured entities, and the insurance industry throughout the United States and internationally.
In addition to his legal practice, Jerry has remained active in the Omaha community. His community involvement has included serving as past president of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Council, past president of the Mount Michael Benedictine High School Booster Club, service on the Board of Directors for the Linden Estates Development Subdivision, participation on the Education Committee for St. Vincent de Paul Parish School, and coaching youth baseball and football teams.
