Jenny has practiced labor and employment law at AmLaw 100 law firms for over fifteen years representing top institutions of higher education, Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, technology and food service sectors, among many others. She counsels employers on compliance matters and employment issues with respect to hourly workers, high ranking executives and everything in-between. She was most recently a partner at a major law firm before founding Goltz Employment Law. She decided to leave the big-law world after defending employers in dozens of employment lawsuits and seeing first-hand how small problems can turn into big, expensive headaches. Litigation is time-consuming and expensive - it is a major distraction that drains operational resources and can frequently be avoided.

Jenny understands that companies that spend more time on infrastructure, compliance and protocols have happier, more productive employees and spend less money on litigation. Jenny’s mission is to help employers manage their workforce more effectively, improving morale and minimizing litigation risk. She approaches every issue with a practical and proactive perspective. Jenny partners closely with businesses to develop workforce management strategies tailored to that business. The guiding principle behind her approach is that a modest investment in training, education and rigor around HR processes will save employers from the crushing burden of employment litigation costs.

Jenny has supported managers, human resources personnel and in-house counsel in workplace training, investigations, and compliance matters. She has a deep knowledge of the numerous state and federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the WARN Act, state wage and hour laws, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and various federal and state civil rights laws. Jenny also handles traditional labor matters for employers, including helping to manage union campaigns, interfacing with the National Labor Relations Board, negotiating and helping to implement collective bargaining agreements, and labor arbitrations.

Jenny is actively involved with the American Bar Association and currently serves as the co-chair for the ABA’s Technology in the Workplace and Law Committee.
