Jeffrey S. Sloan is the Managing Shareholder of Workplace Legal APLC where he advises employers, executives, professionals, and businesses on a wide range of employment law and workplace matters. His practice focuses on Employment Law - Management, including designing HR infrastructures, litigating single plaintiff and class action disputes, and providing day-to-day advice and counsel to businesses on employee hiring, discipline, leave of absence, and termination strategies.
For more than 30 years, Jeffrey has represented clients across a broad range of industries, including Fortune 500 companies, international airlines, construction firms, technology companies, restaurants, law firms, and medical groups. He works closely with business owners, management teams, and corporate leadership to address workplace challenges, resolve disputes, and develop practical employment policies and procedures that align with business objectives.
Jeffrey is also a frequent author and speaker on employment law issues. He has contributed to publications and presented before trade groups, conferences, professional associations, and corporations on topics involving California employment law, workplace compliance, human resources practices, employee relations, and litigation trends.
Before founding Workplace Legal APLC, Jeffrey was an Equity Partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group at Sheppard Mullin LLP. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Sloan Pratt LLP, a San Francisco labor and employment law boutique, and practiced as an associate attorney in the litigation department of Heller Ehrman LLP.
