Jeffrey R. Metz is a partner at Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. and Chief of the firm’s Appellate Bureau in New York, New York. Since becoming a partner in 2009, Mr. Metz has represented clients in significant New York real estate and real property matters involving residential and commercial disputes. His practice focuses on Real Estate Law, including appellate litigation, complex motion practice, and real property disputes.
Mr. Metz has prepared and argued more than 400 appeals, with approximately 350 officially reported decisions. He has appeared before the New York State Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division’s First, Second, and Third Departments, various Appellate Terms, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the New York State Supreme, Civil, and Housing Courts.
Through his appellate and litigation work, Mr. Metz represents property owners, landlords, tenants, boards, and businesses in a wide range of real estate matters throughout New York. His experience includes handling appeals and motion practice involving property rights, landlord-tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and other complex real estate issues.
