He has defended corporations in over 200 class actions brought by consumers, limited partners, insureds, customers and service providers in more than thirty-five states on such subjects as insurance, credit, discrimination, after-market parts, diminished value, medical review, ERISA, airborne shipping, life insurance sales practices and natural disasters. Jeffrey has negotiated some of the largest class action settlements in a variety of lines of business and has managed the operation of many complex claim systems. He has regularly served as coordinating counsel for companies with class and individual actions pending in multiple jurisdictions.
Jeffrey has been engaged in extensive counseling of corporations on how to avoid class action liability. He has spoken before numerous trade associations and class action conferences regarding class action defense, insurance, aggregate damages and class action avoidance.
