Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs

Biography

Jeff is a partner and trial lawyer at Nurenberg Paris, focusing 100% of his practice on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Over the past five years, he has obtained verdicts, settlements, and judgments totaling over $50 million, and he is currently representing families and individuals in some of the most significant and high-profile personal injury cases in Ohio.

Jeff’s expertise centers around serious motor vehicle and truck-involved crashes, premises liability, product liability, and nursing home and medical malpractice cases that involve catastrophic injury. He has been invited to write and lecture on these topics, especially with regard to survivors of traumatic brain injury.

Jeff has had the privilege of representing children in countless cases—mostly children who are injured at birth due to medical malpractice, but also children who have been injured in other unthinkable situations who need an advocate to make sure they have the resources to be cared for indefinitely. Because of his expertise, he is frequently referred cases or brought into pending cases by other lawyers who rely on him to handle their most serious work.

Jeff started his career as a prosecutor in Cuyahoga County where he handled cases ranging from simple drug possession to rape and murder. One of his most notable cases was working on the trial team that prosecuted the then-leader of the Heartless Felons—Ohio’s most vicious and notorious gang—resulting in a life sentence for multiple murder and robbery convictions. The trial was featured on the A&E television show “After the First 48.” The invaluable training Jeff received at the prosecutor’s office is where he developed a love for presenting cases in court. His absolute core belief is that regardless of their situations, each of his clients has a constitutional right to a trial by jury.

As a prosecutor, Jeff had a conviction rate at trial of over 90%, and in total, he has tried more than 30 civil and criminal cases to a jury verdict. This puts him in the upper echelon of trial lawyers across the country. His courtroom success is undoubtedly the reason he has been able to obtain such significant results for his clients.

Jeff has been fortunate over his career to have been selected to Ohio Super Lawyers, National Trial Lawyers – Top 40 Under 40, and most recently, Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch®.
