Jeana M. McCormick

Jeana McCormick has extensive experience in civil litigation, representing clients in employment, education, civil rights, and complex commercial disputes. Jeana has represented a wide range of clients including local and national businesses, schools, municipalities, and individuals. She approaches litigation thoughtfully and strategically, working closely with her clients from the inception of a dispute through a resolution to obtain the best possible outcome.

As a skilled trial lawyer, Jeana regularly appears in state and federal courts in Maine and Massachusetts. Jeana’s trial court successes are noteworthy and include obtaining favorable jury verdicts in civil rights, employment, and professional negligence cases. In addition to her trial court experience, Jeana litigates cases in front of administrative agencies, such as the Maine Human Rights Commission, and is experienced at handling appeals before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Outside of the courtroom, Jeana has extensive experience conducting workplace investigations and is frequently invited to present at conferences and trainings on emerging topics in employment and education law as well as civil liability. Whether at a conference or as part of day-to-day phone calls and emails, she pays close attention to the needs of her clients and builds long-lasting relationships by listening and providing insightful and pragmatic advice.
