Jason Karpel is a Criminal Defense attorney with DM Cantor in Phoenix, Arizona. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Jason later moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. After completing his undergraduate education, he remained in Arizona to attend law school. During law school, Jason served as a teaching assistant while also working for a criminal defense firm, gaining early experience in Arizona criminal law and courtroom procedure.
After graduating from law school and passing the Arizona Bar Exam, Jason began his legal career focused exclusively on Criminal Defense. Throughout his career, he has represented clients in a wide range of criminal matters, including DUI / DWI Defense, white-collar crimes, drug offenses, sex crimes, vehicular offenses, homicide cases, and criminal appeals. His practice includes Criminal Defense: General Practice, Criminal Defense: White-Collar, and DUI / DWI Defense.
Jason has handled numerous felony and misdemeanor cases in courts throughout Arizona and has completed more than 40 jury trials to verdict. He has worked with several respected criminal defense law firms in the Phoenix area and continues to represent individuals facing serious criminal charges with a detailed and strategic approach.
In recognition of his work in criminal defense, Jason was selected for inclusion in the Southwest Super Lawyers publication in 2020 and 2021. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, two dogs, and cat.
