Biography
Jason Goode guides REITs and real estate funds through their public and private securities offerings and M&A and other strategic transactions. They rely on him for advice on corporate governance and complex regulatory matters. Jason’s involvement in industry organizations provides awareness of emerging trends and makes him a frequent speaker on related topics.
For more than 20 years, public and private companies have relied on Jason for fund formation, M&A, public securities offerings, and private placements. He focuses his practice on the REIT and real estate fund industry. Jason regularly advises boards of directors on corporate governance issues and also counsels broker-dealers on compliance with applicable FINRA rules. He is active in several industry organizations and is a frequent speaker on securities and corporate governance issues.
Jason influences the alternatives investment industry through his leadership with the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA), where he is a member of the board of directors and the former co-chair of the Policy, Regulatory & Legal Affairs Committee. The IPA board of directors plays a critical role in advancing important advocacy issues and strengthening the marketplace for alternative investment products. Jason received IPA’s Outstanding Service Award in 2021. Jason served as the chair of M&A South 2022, the premier dealmaker networking event in the South, and is a former director of ACG Atlanta.
