Jane Webre is a partner at Scott Douglass & McConnico LLP in Austin, Texas, where her practice focuses on appellate practice and complex civil litigation. She handles a substantial portion of the firm’s appeals and represents clients in matters involving significant legal and procedural issues in state and federal courts.
Jane’s experience includes appeals involving oil and gas disputes, land use regulation, and other complex commercial matters. She has argued cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas, and courts of appeals throughout Texas.
In addition to her appellate work, Jane represents clients in trial court proceedings that involve complex legal questions and dispositive motions. She is also a frequent speaker on appellate procedure, preservation of error, and developments in Texas appellate law, including analysis of opinions issued by the Supreme Court of Texas.
Before joining Scott Douglass & McConnico LLP, Jane served as a law clerk to the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
