As part of the firm’s Real Estate Group, Jana represents clients in the purchase, sale, and lease of commercial real estate, as well as acquisition and financing due diligence matters. She also advises clients on title issues, boundary line disputes, easements, rights of way, adverse possession claims, restrictive covenants, and other property ownership matters.
Jana regularly works with developers, property owners, and businesses on land use, zoning, and development-related matters. She also advises clients on renewable energy project site control agreements, including the review and negotiation of definitive agreements.
With more than 35 years of experience handling real estate and land use matters, Jana brings a practical understanding of development projects and regulatory processes. Her background includes representing developers and advising development review boards on planning and zoning issues.
Before joining Bousquet Holstein PLLC, Jana served as outside legal counsel to industrial and commercial real estate developers in New Jersey and South Florida. After relocating to New York, she served as the City of Utica’s Director of Planning. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation, a historic preservation organization and land trust, where she worked on farmland preservation grants and conservation easements.
