Jamie has the experience of effectively resolving disputes through negotiation, settlement, mediation, litigation, trials and appeals of all forms and at all levels. Jamie handles matters over a wide spectrum such as contractual disputes, real property disputes, partnership disputes, commercial and business disputes, insurance disputes, construction, serious injury/death, and creditor/debtor disputes, among others. Jamie’s experience and temperament has also made him an effective mediator and arbitrator. Jamie is AV Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell® for his legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience based on reviews by his peers and colleagues. Jamie has given back to his alma mater and community though his past service as a member of The Citadel Board of Visitors, the governing body of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of The Citadel Alumni Association and a member of the Board of Directors of The Citadel Foundation. Currently, Jamie serves as a member of the City of Charleston’s Citizen Police Advisory Counsel which serves to strengthen the connection between the Charleston Police Department and the citizens it serves. Prior to entering law school, Jamie was a patrolman and detective with the Charleston Police Department.
