James Gianfagna

James M. Gianfagna serves as a trusted business advisor to his clients, many of whom are early-stage and emerging technology companies. A corporate and real estate lawyer, Jim is a partner in Hahn Loeser’s Business Practice Area where he provides strategic advice to clients on a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including corporate transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and commercial contracts. Jim has experience representing both buyers and sellers in complex mergers and acquisitions across various industries.

A significant portion of Jim’s practice involves medical technology startups and early-stage companies. Often, these clients—physicians, dentists, and other experts in their chosen field—have a vision for a new product or technology, but they need direction and counsel in their execution. Jim and his team work closely with these clients to build a plan for launching a company, developing the technology, and recruiting and retaining key personnel and investors. Jim maintains a close relationship with his clients, guiding the company throughout its life cycle, from formation to funding to exit, all with economic efficiency.

Jim’s practice also includes substantial real estate experience negotiating, drafting, and counseling on commercial and residential real estate acquisitions, sales, leases, financing, and easements.
