James Feldman is an attorney in Stoel Rives’ Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources group. James draws upon his federal, state, and local government experience to help clients navigate and solve complicated environmental litigation, enforcement, and regulatory issues.
Before attending law school, James served as a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Mark Begich (Alaska). As one of Senator Begich’s primary policy advisors for his work on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, James helped secure the Senator’s legislative priorities on several major bills and worked extensively with federal agencies including the EPA, NOAA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the Army Corps of Engineers. He also worked as a special assistant to the Mayor of Anchorage and as a legislative aide in the Alaska State Legislature.
