Jacqueline Luksha, a lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office, provides practical advice on a wide range of labour and employment issues. She represents clients in human rights complaints, grievance arbitrations, wrongful dismissal and other employment claims, wrongful competition, labour injunctions, restrictive covenants, employment standards complaints and employment contract disputes.

Jacqueline is dedicated to building relationships with her clients and developing a deep understanding of how their businesses work. As a trusted problem-solver, she often acts as their sounding board and provides expert advice for all of their human resources needs. Jacqueline provides proactive solutions by tailoring in-house training for clients on a variety of topics such as workplace investigations, human rights accommodation, workplace harassment incidents and issues related to the use of medical and recreational cannabis in the workplace. To ensure her clients stay ahead of potential problems, she regularly reviews and revises their internal policies, handbooks, and workplace contracts in a strategic capacity.

Jacqueline takes the time to understand how day-to-day issues within a business affect the bigger picture and she decisively guides her clients from the start of a problem to its resolution. As a litigator, she is a skilled advocate who effectively represents her clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (including Small Claims and the Divisional Court), the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, administrative tribunals and labour arbitration boards.

In addition to her advisory and advocacy practice, Jacqueline advises clients on mitigating risks during restructuring and other significant workplace changes. She is frequently invited to present on respectful workplace environments to cast, crew and staff working on television and movie productions and has developed a number of customized training workshops.
