Jacob Kaufman

Jacob began his legal career at one of the world’s largest law firms, practicing in the areas of estate and commercial litigation. He then focused exclusively on estate litigation at a well-known boutique firm, eventually becoming a partner, before joining Donovan Kochman LLP.

Jacob has acted as section 3 counsel and appeared before various levels of court, including the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He is a knowledgeable and tenacious advocate who strives to promote his clients’ interests.

Jacob has written articles for numerous publications and has presented to professional groups including The Advocates’ Society, the Estate Planners’ Council of Halton and the Ontario Bar Association. He served as the chair of The Advocates’ Society Estates Litigation Practice Group and has been recognized by 2023’s edition of Best Lawyers in Canada in the area of trusts and estates, and by Chambers and Partners’ 2022 High Net Worth Guide rankings for Private Wealth Disputes.
