Mr. Street has more than 45 years of litigation experience in a broad variety of matters including complex business litigation, copyright and trademark infringement and trade secret litigation, officers' and directors' liability, legal malpractice defense, contracts, real property, anti-trust and trade regulation, franchisor/ franchisee disputes, wrongful termination actions and other employment claims, and lender liability claims.  He has been retained as insurance defense counsel in actions involving a variety of tort claims including legal malpractice defense, premises liability, products liability, toxic torts, and construction cases.  His current practice focuses exclusively on intellectual property litigation.

His experience includes federal and state court jury trials, bench trials, federal and state appeals, private arbitrations, mediations and administrative hearings.  Mr. Street has presented oral argument before the Ninth Circuit and District of Columbia Circuit Courts of Appeal, and before the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals and the Hawaii Supreme Court.

After earning his Juris Doctor and his Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1973, Mr. Street served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force at Hickham A.F.B. in Hawaii through 1976. After his tour in the Air Force, he practiced law in Washington, D.C. for four years, first with a law firm focusing on Antitrust and Trade Regulation, International Trade, and Energy law, followed by two years as Vice President and General Counsel of a national trade association.

Having fallen in love with Hawai'i during his Air Force days, Mr. Street took an unexpected opportunity to return to Hawaii in 1981 to work on an antitrust case with the law firm then known as Hamilton, Gibson, Nickelson, Rush & Moore, (now Rush Moore LLP).   He worked for that law firm for almost 30 years  (for several years as Group Leader of the Commercial Litigation Group) before opening his own solo law practice in 2010 in order to focus on protecting intellectual property rights.  He has represented clients in copyright and trademark infringement matters (both plaintiffs and defendants) including work for photographers and other visual artists, musicians, writers, sculptors, non-profit organizations, law firms and technology companies.

Mr. Street has been very involved in community service activities for many years.  He has served on the International Board of Directors for Special Olympics, Inc., where he chaired the International Advisory Committee.  He also served on the North American Leadership Council and the United States Leadership Council for Special Olympics, and is a past Chairman of the Special Olympics Hawaii Board of Directors. He served on the Board of Special Olympics Hawaii for 20 years, and coached Special Olympics Hawaii swimming and soccer teams for over 18 years. Other community service has included memberships on the Board of Directors for the Protection and Advocacy Agency of Hawaii (President - 3 years), Make-a-Wish Foundation of Hawaii, the Hawaii Loa Ridge Homeowners' Association (President - 2 years), and the Hawaii Disabilities Rights Center, as well as serving on the Hawaii State Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Division, Advisory Committee.
