Scott Murphy has practiced law in Florida for more than four decades, building a career focused on litigation, firm leadership, and representing individuals in complex legal matters. He began his legal career in Orlando, Florida, in 1983 with the established firm of Parker, Johnson, Owen & McGuire. In 1988, he became a partner and helped establish the firm’s second office in South Florida the following year. After returning to Orlando, he was elected Managing Partner in 1991.
In 1993, Scott joined two colleagues in forming Anderson, Murphy & O’Hara, P.A. In 1995, he was invited by a major insurance company to create and manage its Florida staff attorney program, which expanded to three offices across the state by 2001. He later shifted his practice toward representing injured individuals and families, a focus he has maintained since 2001.
At Paul Trial Group in Winter Park, Florida, Scott Murphy represents clients in Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs matters, including medical malpractice, professional malpractice, products liability, and insurance coverage disputes. His practice is dedicated to helping clients address serious injuries, complex claims, and challenging litigation throughout Florida.
Scott and his wife, Nicole, live in Maitland with their family. His daughter, Taylor, graduated from the University of Miami and later earned a doctoral degree from Florida State University. She currently resides in Augusta, Georgia, with her husband and son.
