J. Ric Gass has tried almost 300 jury trials to verdict in Wisconsin and around the country since 1970.
Ric has been elected by his peers to the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers and to the highest rank of Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been selected for The Best Lawyers In America since 1996.
Ric has served as national president of both the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and the Lawyers For Civil Justice. Ric’s specialty is handling catastrophic injury cases all around the United States. He was handled cases involving product liability, environmental pollution, legal and medical malpractice, directors & officers liability and represents both defendants and plaintiffs, corporations and individuals and insurers. Representing a corporation and a municipality he won the largest verdict in the history of Wisconsin, $104.4 million in an environmental pollution case.
In addition to his active trial practice Mr. Gass has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at Marquette University Law School and has been regularly invited to do ten or more presentations a year at national legal conferences in his specialty area of trial presentation. He is regularly the highest rated speaker at seminars and has presented at the annual conventions of national litigation organizations. He has authored more than 30 articles and book chapters and holds an AV rating from Martindale.
