Mark Joblin practises in the areas of Municipal Law, land use planning, and development law in Toronto, Ontario. At Loopstra Nixon, he advises municipalities, developers, landowner groups, businesses, and individuals on a wide range of planning and development matters across Ontario.
Mark has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, formerly known as the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and the Ontario Municipal Board, as well as the Toronto Local Appeal Body. His experience includes matters involving Growth Plan conformity, official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, site plan approval, development charges, heritage conservation districts, and related municipal planning issues.
In addition to advocacy work, Mark assists clients with the negotiation and preparation of development agreements, condominium documentation, and municipal regulatory by-laws. He has acted for both large and small Ontario municipalities and private-sector clients in matters involving land use planning, municipal regulation, and development approvals.
Mark completed his articles with Loopstra Nixon LLP and joined the firm following his call to the Ontario bar in 2008.
