J. David "David" Watson

J. David Watson is counsel to and a founding member of Watson Jacobs Bosnick LLP. He has appeared on behalf of many trade unions, trust funds, associations and individuals before a wide array of tribunals and courts including Arbitrators and Boards of Arbitration, Federal and Provincial Labour Relations Boards, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Appeals Tribunal, as well as various other administrative boards. David has also represented clients before the courts in both civil and criminal matters.

David has over 30 years’ experience representing clients in labour, employment, human rights and other related areas of law, including civil and criminal litigation in thousands of proceedings. His expertise has been repeatedly recognized by his peers. He has been consistently recommended in the “Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory” as an expert in his area of specialization.

Recently, David has become involved in alternative dispute resolution. Over the past two years David has acted as a mediator for the Licence Appeal Tribunal and in this capacity he has effectively mediated hundreds of claims for statutory accident benefits.
