Ingo Lummer

Ingo Lummer is a German and Swiss Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney at Vossius & Partner Patentanwälte Rechtsanwälte mbB in Munich. He joined the firm in 2023 and became a partner in 2026. His work focuses on Intellectual Property Law, advising companies and innovators on the protection and enforcement of patent rights in Europe and internationally. In his practice, Ingo Lummer works with clients in medical technology, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. He assists with patent drafting and prosecution as well as opposition and nullity proceedings. He has represented clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the German Federal Patent Court, and the Federal Court of Justice. His work also includes matters related to patent infringement proceedings. Ingo Lummer studied mechanical engineering with a focus on medical technology and micro‑ and nanosystems at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and at the National University of Singapore from 2009 to 2014. After completing his studies, he trained and qualified as a Swiss Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in Switzerland. He has been working in Germany since 2019 and was admitted as a German Patent Attorney in 2021.
