Ignacio Ayala Gómez, with more than 35 years of professional practice, founded Oliva-Ayala Abogados together with Horacio Oliva, and is now its Managing Partner. As a result of his extensive experience in court and his participation in complex processes of business offences negotiations, both judicial and extrajudicial, he is currently one of the most sought-after criminal lawyers in Spain, especially in the business sector.
Ignacio Ayala holds a PhD in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he obtained the highest grade for an innovative work on Tax Crime. He also has a criminology degree from the Instituto Universitario de Criminología and has carried out teaching and research tasks as a professor of Criminal Law at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has published several scientific works, mainly about Criminal Tax matters.
His practice covers all branches of Criminal Law, as well as all procedural phases and international jurisdictions. He has taught in the Master in Law at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid and has been a guest speaker in conferences and seminars in many other institutions, both public (such as Universidad Menéndez Pelayo, Consejo General del Poder Judicial, and Instituto de Estudios Fiscales) and private (such as Instituto de Empresa, Foro de Abogados Tributaristas, and Colegio de Abogados).
