Defense attorney Ian N. Friedman has earned a reputation for successfully defending cases that others thought no defense attorney could ever win. He focuses his practice on aggressively defending individuals in difficult cases involving child pornography, computer crimes, embezzlement, money laundering and other white collar crimes.
A graduate of Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Mr. Friedman is admitted to practice in Ohio and North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Throughout the years, Mr. Friedman has served as an expert witness in many criminal cases. He has also lectured to legal professionals throughout the country, has appeared on numerous media programs and written for numerous legal publications. Mr. Friedman is also an adjunct professor at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Mr. Friedman is active in a large number of professional organizations, including the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, to name just a few.
Among the many honors he has received over the course of his career, Mr. Friedman has been listed in the "Best Lawyers in America" publication for 2015 and 2016. He received the "Lawyer of the Year" award from the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2011. He has been included on the National Trial Lawyers' list of the top 100 trial lawyers and Inside Business Magazine has named him several years in a row to its list of leading lawyers in northeast Ohio.
