Ian brings decades of corporate and commercial experience to his work with businesses ranging from emerging and mid-sized companies to large organizations operating across borders. His practice spans corporate and commercial matters, commercial real estate, banking and finance, and wills, estates and estate planning.
His international experience is an important part of that perspective. After relocating from Calgary to Edmonton in 1977, Ian worked in Scotland and London, advising on international commercial transactions and financing with Maclay, Murray and Spens in Glasgow and Lovell White Durrant in London.
Today, Ian continues to advise businesses on the legal and commercial decisions that shape their growth, operations and long-term interests, drawing on a career that has included both Canadian and international practice.
