Ian Sutherland is a senior litigator with McDougall Gauley LLP. He has built a well-developed practice acting for financial institutions, Licensed Insolvency Trustees, financially distressed companies, and other creditors. Ian has appeared before various levels of court in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and the Supreme Court of Canada. “Best Lawyers in Canada” has recognized Ian for his work in a variety of practice areas, recently naming him “Lawyer of the Year” in Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law, Saskatoon (2022). He is a director of the Insolvency Institute of Canada and is actively involved with that institution in various roles.
