Hugh A. Donaghue, Esquire, is a Martindale-Hubbell A/V-Rated Attorney with more than 25 years of experience handling complex plaintiff-side litigation. A lifelong resident of Pennsylvania and a founding partner of Donaghue & Labrum LLP, Hugh has built his career representing plaintiffs in high-stakes civil litigation. He brings a broad perspective to each case, having represented individuals, families, municipalities, and corporations at various points throughout his legal career. This background allows him to approach litigation with a practical understanding of how cases are evaluated and defended.
Hugh earned his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History from St. Joseph’s University before obtaining his law degree from the Delaware School of Law. Since 1982, he has represented victims of motor vehicle accidents, defective products, emergency room errors, hospital-acquired infections, surgical errors, physician misdiagnoses, and other forms of medical and professional malpractice.
Throughout his career, Hugh has litigated cases through trial and verdict and has negotiated settlements when appropriate for his clients’ goals. He regularly practices in the Courts of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County, Delaware County, Chester County, Montgomery County, Bucks County, and Berks County, and has experience in the United States Federal Courts. His primary office is located in Media, Pennsylvania, where he serves clients throughout the region.
Hugh resides in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania with his wife. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys spending time with his four children and two grandchildren. His interests include fishing, hiking, long walks with the family dog, and staying engaged in public affairs.
