Howard Bobrow

Howard Bobrow is chair of Taft's Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practice. His practice is primarily devoted to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital.

Howard is a trusted advisor to private equity funds, venture capital funds, and emerging growth companies. He counsels private equity and venture capital funds and other institutional investors, as well as angel investors, on all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, capital formation, and private placements.

Howard has a wide range of experience with structuring and closing a myriad of early-stage and growth-stage capital formation transactions, including technology validation, technology transfer, technology licensing, seed investment, early-stage investment and follow-on investment transactions.

Howard also represents private equity and venture capital funds in connection with their organization and formation, the fundraising process, governance matters, investments in portfolio companies, and compliance with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers of Act of 1940.

Howard serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Venture Association. He has also guest lectured at the Weatherhead School of Management on the topics of the economics and structure of private equity and venture capital.
