Henry Teich has been practicing law in Asheville, NC for almost 40 years. He and his law partner, Janson Grimes, founded the law offices of Grimes and Teich in 1979. Later, with the addition of partner Scott Anderson, the firm became Grimes Teich Anderson LLP.
Henry is a North Carolina Board Certified Workers Compensation Specialist whose interest is assuring that his clients get the best medical treatment available under the circumstances and that they receive protection from oppressive insurance company tactics. The clients he frequently represents are those whose injuries prevent them from returning to their previous jobs and those who may never be able to work again.
He is a Member of the Board of Governors and a benefactor of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is also Membership Chair of the Executive Committee of the Workers Compensation Section of the NC Advocates for Justice.
In 2007 and 2010 Henry received the Order of Service from the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. The award is given to members for generous contributions of service in advancing the Academy's mission of protecting people's rights.
Henry was selected for inclusion in the list of North Carolina Super Lawyers in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Henry was an Assistant County Attorney for Buncombe County in 1980-81 and in 1987 he was appointed Public Guardian. He retired from that position in 2007 after 20 years of service to incompetent adults and mentally disabled Veterans in Buncombe County and across North Carolina.
He is a former board member of Caring For Children and an advisory board member of the Asheville Lyric Opera. Hank is also a board member of the Mimosa Fishing Club and Marina at Lake James.
