HEATHER L. APICELLA, is a Partner at the law firm, Gladstone & Weissman, P.A. She is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Marital and Family Law and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach County Bar Association and Broward County Bar Association, concentrating her practice in the area of Family Law. She was born in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Florida during her youth. She attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S., 2002). She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Law Degree (J.D., cum laude, 2006). While attending Nova Southeastern University, Apicella was a member of Nova Law Review, Phi Alpha Delta, and she served on the Executive Board of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (also known as the American Association for Justice). She is very active in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is the current Co-Chair of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee. She is the past Chair of the Legislation Committee; and the past Chair of the Support Issues Committee. She continues to serve on the Legislation Committee, Support Issues Committee, as well as Ad Hoc Finance Committee. She also serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, which is a position she has held since 2009. The Executive Council has general supervision and control of the affairs of The Family Law Section subject to the bylaws of the Section. She was named a 2018 Best Lawyer by Best Lawyers in America and was also recently elected on as Secretary of The Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.
She is also very active in the Broward County Bar Association and is the past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association. During her term, she was awarded The Practice Section Chair Award in recognition of her leadership and guidance as The Chair of The Family Law Section.
She is a founding Barrister of The Susan B. Greenberg Family Law American Inns of Court of the Palm Beaches. The American Inns of Court is a cross-section of legal professionals, including judges, experienced lawyers, law professors, etc., in an organized and continuing structure designed to enhance and improve the professional and ethical quality of the legal practice in our community. The Susan B. Greenberg Family Law American Inns of Court of the Palm Beaches is specific to the practice of family law. Apicella has the unique communication skills required to enable her to guide our clients through every step of the settlement and/or litigation process.
