Biography

Dallas divorce attorney Hannah Rector is a compassionate and dedicated family law attorney serving clients in Dallas, Texas. She approaches each case with care, practical insight, and a deep understanding of the emotional challenges that often accompany divorce, custody, and other family law matters.

Her path to Family Law began while studying psychology at Texas Christian University, where she worked with a domestic violence shelter and saw the significant impact thoughtful legal guidance can have during difficult transitions. Hannah recognizes that Family Law matters often extend beyond courtroom proceedings. At Hargrave Family Law, she focuses on practical solutions that prioritize families and long-term stability.

She regularly works with clients to pursue resolution through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration when appropriate, with the goal of reducing unnecessary conflict, expense, and emotional strain. When litigation is required, Hannah is prepared to advocate diligently on behalf of her clients in court.

After earning her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2016, Hannah returned to Texas to concentrate her practice on Family Law, including divorce, child custody, and Family Law arbitration and mediation. She remains active in the Dallas legal community through involvement with multiple county bar associations. Her work has been acknowledged through honors such as Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Best Lawyers Ones to Watch.

Hannah lives in Dallas with her family, including a violinist, a toddler, and two Basenjis. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys outdoor adventures such as white-water rafting, skydiving, and shark diving, while also valuing quiet time at home with her family. “Anyone involved in family litigation has already experienced loss. We work together with our clients to minimize the financial and emotional impact that can arise during the divorce process. There are opportunities for healing during and after this process, and every member of the Hargrave Family Law team keeps this perspective in mind while advocating for our clients.”
