H. Miles Pedersen is a Partner at Flicker Kerin LLP in Menlo Park, California, where he practices exclusively in family law. He is a Certified Family Law Specialist certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Pedersen represents clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce and legal separation, high-asset property characterization and division, premarital and postnuptial agreements, property transmutation issues, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and post-judgment modifications.
Before focusing his practice exclusively on family law, Mr. Pedersen gained experience in estate, trust, and probate litigation. His background provides valuable perspective in matters involving complex financial and property-related issues that often arise in California family law cases.
Mr. Pedersen is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Mateo County Bar Association, and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers® Northern California Rising Star from 2020 through the present. Mr. Pedersen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law & Economics and honorable mention recognition for best brief in Moot Court. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University, where he was active in Delta Epsilon Iota National Academic Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society. He was also nominated for Valedictorian Speaker and the Presidential Citation Award for Academic Excellence, Leadership, and Service.
While attending law school, Mr. Pedersen interned with the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County in the Family Advocacy Program and worked with the family law department at Flicker, Kerin, Kruger and Bissada. Following graduation, he clerked for the Honorable George A. Miram in the Probate Division of the Superior Court of San Mateo County while also working as a contract attorney on matters involving estate planning, trust administration, and probate litigation.
Outside the office, Mr. Pedersen enjoys teaching guitar, playing basketball and tennis, and following Bay Area sports, including the San Francisco 49ers and San Jose Sharks.
