Ms. Richard first obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1985 from Rice University and then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 1988. Following that, Ms. Richard completed her LL.M. at King's College London in 1989.
Certified as a specialist in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Richard's skilled representation of her clients has led to recognition from her fellow professionals and the public alike. She has been named each year since 2012 to the list of Houston's Top Lawyers published annually by H-Texas Magazine. Ms. Richard has also received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo, both of which are the highest an attorney can receive through those organizations.
Ms. Richard is admitted to practice before all of the state courts of Texas. She is additionally admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. She is dedicated to her community and currently serves as a board member for the CONTEXT Chamber Orchestra. She is a former board member of both the Houston Adventure Play Association and of Girls Incorporated.
