Gregory P. Cafouros is a lawyer and registered civil engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana, whose practice focuses on construction law and Environmental Law. He represents architects, engineers, contractors, owners, insurers, private entities, and public entities in a broad range of legal matters.
Greg’s construction law practice includes design professional liability claims and defenses, construction contracts and negotiations, construction litigation, contract and defect claims, risk management, contract analysis and advice, and mechanics’ lien law. He also represents clients in tort liability claims and assists owners, engineers, contractors, and other project participants with addressing construction-related disputes.
As practice group leader for the design and construction team at Kroger, Gardis & Regas LLP, Greg coordinates legal services involving construction projects and related disputes. He also serves as General Counsel to the American Council of Engineering Companies of Indiana.
Greg’s Environmental Law practice includes defending environmental enforcement actions, prosecuting and defending toxic tort claims, assisting industries and municipalities with environmental permitting, and mediating environmental disputes. He works with clients on environmental issues that arise in connection with construction, development, industrial operations, and public projects.
Greg has also participated in environmental and community initiatives through his service as general counsel to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation and as a director emeritus and former board president of the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.
