Greg is co-chair of the firm’s healthcare litigation practice. Repeatedly recognized as one of the country’s leading healthcare litigators, Greg has been lead counsel in numerous high profile cases that have produced landmark decisions in the healthcare field.
Greg handles both trials as well as appellate work for California’s largest healthcare entities in their most complex disputes, including Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act cases; class action litigation; ERISA suits; fraud and abuse qui tam actions; bad faith denial of benefits suits; and HIPAA litigation. Greg also represents clients who are the targets of governmental criminal and civil audits, investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions.
Greg authors the “Health Insurance and Managed Care” chapter of The Rutter Group's California Practice Guide: Insurance Litigation and the “ERISA Litigation” chapter of the BNA treatise Managed Care Litigation. He has taught health law at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), and he sits on the board of directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation.
