Biography
I have practiced family law since 1998, and have provided collaborative law services for the past 15 years. I am one of the founding members of Collaborative Practice Manitoba and currently am on its Management Committee as well as serving as the Chair of the Membership Committee.
I have taught at the Faculty of Law, University of Manitoba, as a sessional instructor since 2005. I currently teach the Clinical Family Law course and have done so since 2009.
I am a frequent presenter at the Law Society of Manitoba, the Faculty of Law and the Manitoba Bar Association on topics of collaborative family law and other family law related issues.
I was named to the Best Lawyers List in 2015 and received the Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year for 2018 and 2016 (Family Law -- Winnipeg).
I am fluent in American Sign Language and have served the Deaf Community, both locally and nationally for over 30 years, earning a lifetime achievement award from the Association of Visual Language Interpreters.
