Gordon has practiced law for 41 years. He is a founding partner of Heuser & Heuser, LLP, where he represents injured people in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and communities throughout Southern Colorado.
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Gordon earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and his law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.
In 1996, Gordon founded Heuser & Heuser, LLP, with his brother, the late Barkley Heuser. He has helped guide the firm from its Colorado Springs and Pueblo offices since that time.
Gordon’s recognized practice area is Workers’ Compensation Law - Claimants. His practice focuses on workers’ compensation claims for people injured on the job. He also handles personal injury cases, including car accidents, premises liability, and wrongful death. Premises liability cases may involve injuries caused by an unsafe condition on another person’s property, such as a fall in a store or parking lot.
Gordon represents clients in El Paso County, Pueblo County, Fountain, Security-Widefield, Colorado Springs, and surrounding communities. He has argued cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court and is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Utah.
Gordon is a member of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Colorado Bar Association, and the El Paso County Bar Association.
Gordon remains active in the Colorado Springs community. He is a former board chair of St. Mary’s High School. Since 2019, he has served on the advisory board of the National Kidney Foundation of Colorado and New Mexico. He has also volunteered with the El Paso County Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer program.
