Biography
Glenn Jones is a dedicated litigator and trial attorney at Harris Beach Murtha, located in Uniondale, New York. He focuses on representing individuals and organizations through various stages of federal, state, and local regulatory enforcement as well as criminal and civil cases from investigation to trial. Glenn has accumulated extensive experience in health care law, particularly in addressing fraud, waste, and health care regulatory compliance matters. He previously served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the New York State Attorney General’s office.
Throughout his career, Glenn has actively represented health care providers and institutions in numerous government investigations, including those led by grand juries and conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice, United States Attorneys’ Offices, and state and local prosecutors. These cases often involve collaboration with agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, Securities and Exchange Commission, New York State Medicaid Inspector General, New York State Department of Health, New York State Attorney General’s Office, New York State Department of Financial Services, and the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs.
As the lead in our white-collar defense practice, Glenn offers guidance on regulatory and compliance issues, dealing with cases related to the Stark Act, the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and various types of fraud including commodities, securities, and accounting fraud, as well as mail and wire fraud, grand larceny, and money laundering. His expertise is not limited to the healthcare sector, as he also represents clients in industries such as transportation, energy, oil, and gas.
Glenn advocates on behalf of diverse clients including doctors, physician groups, hospitals, nursing homes and their staff and executives, substance abuse rehabilitation centers, urgent care centers, sleep centers, imaging centers, pharmacies, pharmacists, home health services, home infusion services, and companies involved with medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
