Glenn E. Ireland

Glenn “Charlie” Ireland is a founding shareholder with Carr Allison and is resident in the firm’s Birmingham (AL) office. His primary focus is on complex litigation, including class action and products liability litigation. Charlie has successfully represented several national manufacturers, distributors and retailers in class action and multi-district litigation matters.

In products liability matters, Charlie has successfully defended numerous international and national manufacturers and distributors of a multitude of products ranging from pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, firearms and industrial equipment. In retail and hospitality, he represents numerous national retailers, restaurants and hotels in a wide array of litigation ranging from personal injury claims to false arrest cases.

Charlie, an AV Preeminent® rated attorney with the national lawyer ranking service of Martindale-Hubbell®, has tried wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases in state and federal courts throughout the state of Alabama. He is a regular speaker on issues involving the defense of complex litigation matters to attorneys, insurers, risk managers and self-insureds.

Charlie earned his Bachelor of Science from Presbyterian College (SC) and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (AL), where he served as an associate editor on the Cumberland Law Review.

Charlie is actively involved in his community and enjoys spending time with his family.
