Biography

As an attorney in private practice, Ginger Schröder has been providing employment and labor services to private and public sector clients for more than thirty-two years. Ms. Schröder represents, on both a local and national level, some of the nation’s largest publicly and privately owned companies and municipal entities, in traditional labor and/or regular employment law and/or employment discrimination matters.

Ms. Schröder has been named one of the top ten attorneys in Upstate New York since 2017, by New York Super Lawyers, one of few women to achieve that distinction. For years she has been in the top fifty upstate New York lawyers, and in the top twenty-five women lawyers for that same organization. She also has been repeatedly recognized by in Buffalo Business First’s Who’s Who in Law and the legal Elite (2004 through 2023) in Labor and Employment Law and Litigation. She was also awarded “Best Lawyer of the Year 2022 for Labor and Employment" by Best Lawyers.

Ms. Schröder received her B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton (under seal for Outstanding Academic Achievement) and her law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Faculty of Law and Jurisprudence (Magna Cum Laude) in 1990 where she was the Publications Editor of The Buffalo Law Review. Ms. Schröder began her legal career in New York City at the Wall Street Law Firm of Dewey Ballantine, LLP, worked for the State University of New York as a Prosecutor, practiced with the law firm of Jaeckle, Fleishmann & Mugel, LLP for five years and then joined the national law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll, PC in 1996, where she was made a shareholder. In 2000, she joined with a fellow shareholder, Linda H. Joseph to form her current firm.

She is active in a number of charitable and community groups. She is an EMT with the Franklinville Fire Department’s Ambulance Squad and she and her husband co-founded a 501 (c) 3 charity--- Rescue A Horse where they recue at risk horses and rehabilitate and rehome them. She and her husband also own and operate an exotic poultry farm in Franklinville, New York.
