Gideon Bell is a Partner at KMB Law in Burlington, Ontario and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Land Development and Banking and Financial Services practice groups.
Gideon practises in the areas of Real Estate Law, land development, and commercial real estate, advising developers, builders, lenders, businesses, and property owners throughout Burlington, the Greater Toronto Area, and the Golden Horseshoe. He provides legal guidance on residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use development matters at all stages of the development process.
Prior to joining KMB Law, Gideon worked with an in-house legal team providing business and legal advice to small and medium-sized land developers and builders. This experience gives him practical insight into the legal, financial, and operational considerations involved in development and construction projects.
At KMB Law, Gideon assists clients with obtaining permits, approvals, and financing required to service, plan, develop, and redevelop residential, commercial, and industrial properties. His work includes the purchase and sale of vacant land, residential and commercial real estate transactions, land assembly, document registration, severances, minor variances, site plan approvals, subdivision and condominium approvals, condominium registration, and the sale of new condominium units and freehold lots.
Gideon also advises clients on institutional and private servicing and construction financing, joint venture arrangements, co-ownership agreements, development agreements, and cost-sharing agreements. In addition, he maintains a broad real estate practice that includes commercial leasing as well as residential and commercial purchases and sales.
With an interest in urban renewal and sustainable development, Gideon has experience working on brownfield redevelopment matters and regularly assists developers and builders navigating new and evolving projects. He is committed to providing practical legal advice tailored to each client’s business and development objectives.
