Gerard specialises in planning, environment and sustainability law including major project developments, mixed use, master-planned and multi-unit residential projects, renewable energy (solar farm), agricultural and tourism developments and local, state and federal government work.
Gerard’s expertise includes:
* town planning due diligence
* legal compliance and project delivery
* land valuation and land access advice
* Planning and Environment Court, Land Court and Magistrates Court litigation on behalf of developers, land owners, Local and State Government authorities, and submitters.
Gerard is currently involved in a focus group responsible for providing advice to the State Government on their planning reform agenda and the drafting of a new planning act. Gerard is also a qualified (previously practising) town planner.
