Dr. George Renzoni is a co-managing member of COJK, serves on the firm's executive committee, and is head of its life science practice group. George represents a variety of clients in all phases of patent law, focusing his practice on the procurement of U.S. and foreign patents, patent portfolio strategy and development, technology licensing and due diligence investigations, as well as providing opinions of patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom-to-practice. George has also provided expert opinions and expert testimony in patent disputes.
George has procured patents in a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceutical compounds, drug delivery compositions, medical/diagnostic devices and methods, scientific/analytical instrumentation, organic electronics, nanotechnology, polymer chemistry, and cellulose chemistry. Representative client technologies include biologic therapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostics; pharmaceutical chemistry, therapeutics, and drug delivery; medical diagnostic components and systems, and medical imaging equipment; chemistry and nanotechnology; materials science/engineering; and paper and pulp technology.
George is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is on the register of patent agents at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. He is a patented inventor, holding four U.S. patents in the field of diagnostics.
