Geoffrey A. Lindley

Geoffrey A. Lindley is a Member with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., in Jackson, Tennessee. He has been associated with the firm since earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2001. Geoffrey’s practice focuses on Employment Law – Management and Municipal Law, representing employers and governmental entities throughout West Tennessee and beyond.

In his employment law practice, Geoffrey advises management on a wide range of labor, employment, and human resources matters. His work includes counseling employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and other laws affecting the workplace. He also represents employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings.

Geoffrey’s municipal and governmental law practice includes representing counties, municipalities, and other public entities. He has experience defending municipalities and police departments in civil rights matters, including litigation arising under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, as well as advising governmental clients on risk management and operational issues.

In addition to his legal practice, Geoffrey frequently presents at educational conferences and seminars for attorneys and human resources professionals on labor and employment law topics. He is a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Governmental Law Practice Group.
