Gene R. Abercrombie

Gene R. Abercrombie concentrates his practice in the area of real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial sale and leasing transactions of all sizes, 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges, zoning and planning, condominium and homeowners’ association representation, real estate tax valuation appeals throughout Ohio, real estate brokerage law and mechanics’ lien law. Gene is listed in Best Lawyers in America®, including "Lawyer of the Year," for 2022 for Real Estate Law in the Toledo, Ohio area. He received his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Toledo and graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1996. From 2015 to 2025, he served on the Executive Committee and as Secretary of ConnecToledo, a 501(c)3 organization committed to the redevelopment of downtown Toledo. In 2025, Mr. Abercrombie was appointed as a Trustee of the University of Toledo Foundation.
