Gebhard Bücheler

Qualified to practice law in New York and Germany, Gebhard has advised a broad range of clients across many industries, including energy and natural resources, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and financial services. He has acted in a large variety of disputes, including high-value post-M&A arbitrations, price revisions under energy and electricity supply contracts, and disputes arising from other long-term contracts such as IP-licensing agreements.

Gebhard has also sat as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator, sole arbitrator, and mediator. The European Commission lists Gebhard in its pool of individuals suitable for appointment as arbitrators and as trade and sustainable development (TSD) experts in bilateral disputes under the EU’s trade agreements with third countries.

Holding law degrees from Columbia Law School and LMU Munich, including a doctorate, Gebhard teaches international law at LMU Munich and regularly guest lectures at the University of St. Gallen.
