Biography

Gary Streit is the Board President of S&I. Gary's practice focuses on estate and business succession planning, qualified plans and employee benefits, taxation, and other general business matters. Gary has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Employee Benefits Law, Tax Law and Trusts and Estates for over 10 consecutive years. Gary is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and is a member of the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council, Inc. Gary is a past Chairman of the National Board of the American Cancer Society and serves on the Board of Trustees for United Way of East Central Iowa, the Board of Trustees for Horizons, the Board of Directors of the Midwest Division (Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin) of the American Cancer Society, and the National Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network where he chairs the Audit Committee. Gary serves on the Large Investor Council of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, formerly known as the Advisory Board for Priority One, an affiliate of the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Gary serves on the Executive Committee for the University of Iowa Medical Center Council, and is on the Board of Directors of the Iowa State University Foundation where he chairs the Audit Committee. Gary is a Commissioner and past Chair of the Iowa Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Commission. Gary also serves as a Volunteer Attorney for Iowa Legal Aid. Gary has also passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in Iowa.
