Gaëlle Obadia is a lawyer with the Environmental Law group in our Montreal office. Her experience is focused in environmental, municipal, and administrative law and on lobbying and access to information issues. She advises clients on a wide range of contentious and strategic issues, and represents them before various courts and tribunals in civil, environmental criminal law, and administrative matters as well as in their disputes and dealings with government agencies.
Gaëlle has also been a member of Fasken’s national Political Law practice for several years and advises clients on political law in Québec, especially with regard to compliance, disclosure obligations and registration in the appropriate lobbyist registries, electoral law and election financing, and on matters concerning anti-corruption and ethics.
Prior to joining Fasken, Gaëlle practised at a Québec firm where she was an environmental litigator in civil and commercial matters. She also worked for two years in a Montréal boutique environmental law firm and spent several years as a policy consultant in transportation and environmental law in Brussels, where she advised major companies active in the rail and maritime sectors.
